There was an accident at the airport, so they had me fly around in circles until they made sure everything was ok. The plane’s nose gear did not come out fully, but the student pilot did a great job getting it on the ground. He was fully aware of the situation, you should have heard him on the radio. “Uhh, Daytona Beach Tower, what should I do?”
Omg THAT’s what all the fuss was about! I wasn’t on the field at the time, and had no idea anything was amiss until I started hearing mention of “the accident.” I never got around to quizzing my friends about it.
